The last of nine children born to Fredrick and Maria (Abenroat) Aregute. The Aregutes had come to this country about 1834 from Nuremberg, Germany. Fredrick died in September 1848, before his last son was born. Young Frederick grew up in Noble Co., and in 1868 he married Martha (Poor) Edman, a widow with two young daughters.

Bender Funeral Home records indicate that he lived in St. Joseph Co., IN and died in Mishawaka, St. Joseph Co., IN.

Frederick D. Airgood: Frederick Daniel Airgood, 75, died Wednesday night at the home of his son, Courtland Airgood, Mishawaka, after a long illness. Mr. Airgood was born in Noble County in 1848.

Fifty-five years ago he was married at Leesburg to Martha Poore, who died eight years ago.

He is survived by three sons and a daughter. The body was taken to Servia, Ind., where the funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon.

Note: The daughter mentioned in the obituary would be Bina Edman, Martha's daughter from her first marriage.

Old Age Brings Death, Frederick Airgood Succumbs at Home of Son in Mishawaka: Frederick Daniel Airgood, age 75, a resident of Mishawaka for one year, died at the home of his son, Courtland, 216 West Broadway, Wednesday night at 11:45 o'clock, of infirmities resulting from old age.

He was born in Noble County, Ind., Dec. 17, 1848, and came to Mishawaka from Servia, Ind. He was married in 1861 to Martha Poor who died eight years ago. Surviving him are one daughter, Mrs. Max Middleton, Flat Rock, Ill.; and three sons, Courtland and Edward of Mishawaka, and Charles, of Wabash, Ind. He was a retired merchant and a member of the Christian church and for 40 years a member of the I.O.O.F. of Etna Green, Ind.

The body will be taken to Servia Saturday morning where funeral services will be held at 1 o'clock. Burial will be in the Servia cemetery.
