He was the son of Thomas Bunney and Annie Johanna (Haegele) Bunney. He married Berniece Turner in Stillwater, Oklahoma. He attended Cottonwood School in Payne County. Due to ill health he could not pass the draft but worked in the war effort. He worked as a taxi cab driver, filling station attendant, sold Wynn products and was later in the used tire business. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, George Bunney, John Bunney, Elmer Bunney, and Bob Bunney; and one sister, Alta Adams. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 28, 2008 at Strode Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Larry Eslinger officiating. Interment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery.
