Ruth B. Anthony, 92, of Columbus died at 10:40 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2008, at Four Seasons Health Care Center.
Mrs. Anthony retired as an associate of JC Penney Co., where she worked for 30 years. She was a longtime active member of East Columbus United Methodist Church and enjoyed visiting with shut-ins.
The funeral will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Myers-Reed Chapel on 25th Street with Pastor Charles Aigner officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today and from 9:30 a.m. until service time Saturday. Entombment will be at Garland Brook Mausoleum.
Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to Hospice of South Central Indiana or American Heart Association.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Roberta Jean (Robert) Wells of Columbus; sons, Curtis E. (Martha) Crouch of Columbus, Ronald "Joe" (Barbara) Crouch of the Villages, Fla., and Dan (Ann) Crouch of Concrete, Wash.; 13 grandchildren; and 16 greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, a sister and a grandson.
