Daughter of Elisha Rogers & Mary "Polly" Hall wife of James Stanford Aven (See his write up for children)
TERRELL COUNTY GEORGIA NEWSPAPER CLIPPINGS VOL IV 1881-1885
page 62 by Tad Evans We regret to learn of the recent death of the wife of Mr. James S. Aven of Webster Co. which took place one day last week. The deceased was the mother of our former citizen, Mr. W. G. Aven and she leaves a large circle of relatives and friends to moun her death.

She had been a great sufferer for two years, but the end came almost suddenly. She was a woman of strong character, of unusual common sense and judgement. She was a devoted wife and mother, and her willing hands were ever-ready to minister to those in need. Of truth, it can be said "she hath done what she could." Though we miss her here we know her sufferings are over and she had gone to a better land. She leaves a son, three daughters and one brother, besides a number of other relatives to moun her loss. Daughter
(Kept in Senn Bible)

(She was listed as Cripple in the Census-and probably had Rhematoid Arth. which was passed to her grandtr. Georgia and her Great-Grandson JI, his niece Barbara Ann, etc.)
