VIRGIL V. ALLMANDINGER, 84, of Fort Wayne died Thursday in Lutheran Hospital. The Chattanooga, Ohio, native retired in 1970 from General Electric Co. after 42 years, and was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church and GE Quarter Century Club.

Surviving are his wife, Eleanor E.; daughter, Elsie Geller of Fort Wayne; sons, Vernon V. of Roanoke and Donald D. of Grass Valley, Calif.; brothers, Leo L. and Milton M., both of Fort Wayne; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday in the church, with burial in St. John Lutheran Cemetery. Calling is 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow in Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, and 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday in the church. Preferred memorials are gifts to the church.
