Salomon emigrated from Annerstad parish at age 20 to the United States November 1886. Spent time working in Chicago and Montana. Met his wife, Hanna, in Ballard, King County, Washington. Shortly after their marriage they moved to Denver, Colorado. Both were active in the Swedish community and the Swedish Evangelical Church. They were involved in the development of Swedish Sanatorium for TB - later renamed Swedish Hospital. Solomon came to the US leaving his mother and a half-sister behind in Sweden.
