Funeral services were held at 4:00 p.m. Monday (May 23, 1983) at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Carencro for Mrs. Louis Hernandez, the former Elia Cormier, 93, who died Sunday (May 22, 1983) at her residence in Duson.
Father Alfred Gaudet officiated at the services with burial following in the church cemetery under the direction of Melancon Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hernandez is survived by one son, Adam Hernandez of Carencro; one daughter, Lorinez Matthieu of Duson; two brothers, Armond Cormier of Lafayette and Antoine Cormier of Carencro; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was a member of the Ladies Altar Society in Scott.
Pallbearers were Hector Benoit, Don Hernandez, Roy Matthiew, Isaac Forestier and Adam Dugas.
