WEBB CITY, Mo. — Loyd Dawson Laster, 91, of Webb City, Mo., died Saturday, Nov. 29, 2008, in Webb City. He was born Nov. 2, 1917, in Edna. He was a graduate of Clarksville High School, held a degree at Draughn School of Business in Dallas, a sales clerk at Baptist Book Store, an Army veteran of World War II, retired from Pitney Bowes, a deacon and member of First Baptist Church in Webb City, Mo., and the widower of Jewell Laster.

Burial will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Oakland Cemetery in Clarksville followed by a memorial service at First Baptist Church in Clarksville under the direction of Hedge-Lewis Funeral Home of Webb City.

He is survived by four daughters, Tena Pilkington of Carrolton, Texas, Sandra Price of Webb City, Linda Stubblefield of Seattle and Meredith Cope of Dayton, Ohio; two sons, William Laster of Little Rock and Gerald Laster of Kemah, Texas; a brother, Oliver Laster of Haymarket, Va.; 17 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
