Parents were Lessie and Clarence M. Botts, formerly of Carthage, Illinois.

Mildred B. Alexander, 91, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Sunday, February 8, 2004. She is survived by her sons, Robert Alexander and wife, Francelle, of Placitas, William Alexander and wife, Shirley, of Las Vegas, NV and Thomas Alexander and wife, Jill, of Makanda, IL; nine grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Alexander was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Hubert Alexander (retired Professor of Philosophy at UNM); and brothers, C.M. Botts, Jr. and Robert Botts. She was born in Hope, New Mexico, May 21, 1912. Mrs. Alexander was a member of The Tuesday Literary Club and Pro Musica. She received a Master of Fine Arts in Music at UNM and was a longtime piano instructor.

Mrs. Alexander was devoted to her family and to her dogs. Cremation has taken place and private family memorial services will be held at a later date.
