William Cloke, 75, of 457 Ainsworth Circle died Tuesday at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor after a five-day illness. He was born May 25, 1888, in England the son of William and Elizabeth Cloke. On Nov. 27, 1913 he was married to Josephine B. DeGarie in Munising, Mich. She died in 1959. Cloke has lived in the Ypsilanti. Ann Arbor area since 1930 and had a shoe repair shop in Ann Arbor for many years prior to his retirement. Surviving, are a son, William E. of Ypsilanti; four daughters, Mrs. Eva Foerster of Ypsilanti; Mrs. Alfred (Dorothy) Curtiss of Aim Arbor; Mrs. Claude (Mary) McPherson of Eaw Beach,: Hawaii and Mrs. James (Catherine) Scott of Ypsilanti; a brother, Archibold of Bracebridge. Ontario; 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A son, Robert F., preceded him in death in 1960. Requiem High Mass will be sung at 10 a.m. Friday at St. John's Catholic Church with burial to follow in St. John's Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited at 7:30 pm. Thursday at the Moore Funeral Home.
