Born in Laurens, she was a daughter of the late Charles Lindsey and Vaughan Gritton Miller.
She was a retired cosmetologist at Frankie's Beauty Salon. Mrs. Lee was a member of Laurens First Baptist Church and the Ruth Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the South Carolina Cosmetologist Association.
Surviving are two sons, Hiram Sidney Lee and wife Pat of Waterloo, and Henry Miller Lee and wife Leslie of Santa Maria, CA; two daughters, Betty L. Ligon of Greenwood, Mary Lee Pate of Simpsonville; a sister, Mrs. Laura Culbertson of Laurens; 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 3 great great-grandchildren.
A private committal service will be held Tuesday morning, November 25, 2008 at New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery, followed by a memorial service at The Easterby Chapel of First Baptist Church at 11:00 am conducted by Dr. Bev T. Kennedy, Jr. and Dr. Russell Dean.
The family will receive friends after the memorial service in the chapel.
