Hugh Brantley Riddle, 61, of 125 Lynch Street, Danville, died Thursday, Nov. 13, 2008, at Danville Regional Medical Center. Born May 12, 1947, in Danville, he was the son of the late Hugh Brantley Riddle, Sr. and Sallie Meadows Riddle. He was married to Deborah Moore Riddle.

Mr. Riddle was of the Baptist faith. Most of his life was lived in Java and Danville.

In addition to his wife of the residence, he is survived by a son, Hugh Brantley, III and wife Angie of Danville; and three grandchildren, Brandon Riddle, Elizabeth Riddle and Rebecca Riddle. He was predeceased by a grandson, Michael Riddle.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Nov. 17 at 2 p.m. at Beulah Baptist Church, Yanceyville, with the Rev. Morgan Roberts and the Rev. Clyde Everett officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
