A native of Chatham County, she was the wife of the late G. Elmo Maness who died in 1967 and daughter of the late James David Paschal and Decie White Paschal. She was retired from Belk's, a member of Alamance Lutheran Church, the Golden Rule Sunday School Class, the Alamance Line Dancers and the Alamance Golden Agers.
Surviving are three sons, Richard E. Maness and wife Barbara of Nashville, TN, Jeffrey P. Maness and wife Teresa of Durham and Joel K. Maness and wife Rebecca of Burlington; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two sisters, Polly Brooks and JoAnn Allred both of Siler City; and a brother, Bryce Paschal of Winston-Salem. Mrs. Maness was also preceded in death by a daughter, Penny Lynn Maness; a son, John D. Maness; a grandson, William Patrick Maness; and a brother, William Paschal.
Services will be held 3:00 PM, Wednesday, Nov. 5, at Alamance Lutheran Church with The Rev. James D. Lockley and The Rev. Jill King officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
