Mr. Arthur R Anderson, 89 years, entered into rest early this morning after a brief illness. Mr. Anderson was born in Aledo, IL on August 29, 1892. Almost 59 years ago, on January 8, 1923 in Lansing, MI he married Frances M Hess, who survives him. During his working years, prior to his retirement, he was a welder for the former Norge Corp and lastly a devoted custodian at the Olivett Reformed Church, of which he and his wife were charter members. Mr. Anderson was a Veteran of World War I, serving in the army. He was a member of the WW I Veterans Barracks No. 328.

His survivors include his wife, Frances M.; three daughters Mrs Dottie Plummer of Norton Shores, Mrs. Harold S. (Phyllis) Balkema of Spring Lake, Mrs. Vernon E (Shirley A) Runk of Muskegon Hts; one son, Mr. Robert E. (Bob) Anderson of Fruitport; also 1 sister, Mrs. Boyd (Myrtle) Nesbitt of Aledo, IL. Also 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

The Funeral Rites for Mr. Anderson will be Saturday afternoon, 2:00 o'clock at the Acterhoff Mortuary with his pastor, The Reverend Mister Gerald R Mahler. Interment at Mona View Cemetery with Full Military Escort afforded by VFW Post 466. Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 pm today.
