Stephanie Renee Phelps, 16, of Amarillo died Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008. Katheryn Renee Pulsifer, 3ยฝ months, of Amarillo died Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2008.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in St. Stephen United Methodist Church with Dr. Stan Cosby officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St.

Stephanie was born April 4, 1992, in Amarillo to Darrell and Hope Phelps. She was a junior at Randall High School. She was loved by her family and friends.

Katie was born Aug. 2, 2008, in Amarillo to Michael Pulsifer and Stephanie Phelps. She was a bright, shining light to all of her family. She weighed less than 4 pounds and spent a week in ICU. As she did in the hospital, she captured the hearts of those who crossed her path. Her constant smile was almost as wide as her face. She loved playing peek-a-boo, patty cake and her favorite, "Big Girl." Katie could never get enough of being bounced on a knee as she curiously looked at flowers, trees, paintings and a twirling ceiling fan.

If she wasn't listening to lullabies or watching the doggies in the house, Katie was being indoctrinated as a Cowboys football fan and a Red Sox baseball fan. She would quietly watch those games while sucking on the top of a Cheeto or jelly bean.

Katie loved to dress nicely, except maybe socks, which she always tried to remove. She already had her first Christmas outfit, which fit her perfectly.

Michael, Katie's father, had put his daughter in an organ donation program. Already, Katie's heart is beating for an unknown friend in California.

Stephanie was preceded in death by her father, Darrell, in August 2006.

Stephanie is survived by her mother, Hope Phelps, and boyfriend Birdie Castillo of Amarillo; three sisters, Ashley McLaughlin, Samantha Phelps and Kristen Phelps, all of Amarillo; a brother, Tay Castillo of Amarillo; her special uncle, Brent Phelps of Amarillo; her grandmother, Renda Phelps and husband Gary of Amarillo; her great-grandmother, Ann Woodruff of Amarillo; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

Katie is survived by her father, Michael; her grandparents, Hope Phelps and Birdie Castillo and Doug and Sharon Pulsifer, all of Amarillo; her great-grandparents, Renda and Gary Phelps of Amarillo and Joyce Kunde of Tucson, Ariz.; three aunts, Ashley McLaughlin, Samantha Phelps and Kristen Phelps, all of Amarillo; six great-aunts, Jennifer Davis and Robyn Lowery, both of Amarillo, Lois Kennealy of Tucson, Gail Bohlen and Donna Bonenfant, both of Sierra Vista, Ariz., and Lori Bryant; and two great-uncles, Cody McLaughlin of Amarillo, and Dana Pulsifer of Tucson.

The family suggests memorials be to Make-A-Wish Foundation, 411 S. Fillmore St., Amarillo, TX 79101.

Viewing will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
