Bud was born November 16, 1928 in Jacksonburg, WV the son of the late Daniel W. and Blanche Myers King.
He was a retired employee of PPG , a graduate of Potomac State College and attended WVU, a charter member of the Paden City Fun Run, loved his dogs and his many hobbies were running, weight lifting, bicycling, bird watching, collected elephants, reading, wrote poetery and politics: a WWII US Navy veteran and a member of St. Paul's' United Methodist Church, Paden City, WV.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Wilma J. Fullington; nephew, Ricky Malcolm; great-granddaughter, Carrie Ann Anderson; step-mother, Nettie Lemasters King.
Surviving are his loving wife of 57 years Marion Pancake King; son, Timothy (Casey) King of Parkersburg WV; two daughters, Jeanne (Ric) King Cochran of Charleston, WV and Cindy (Clarence) Swartzmiller of Sistersville, WV; grandchildren, Danny (Gwen) Gatrell, Jill (Daniel) Chavez, Heather (Brian) Stillwagner; Timmy Judge, Jeremy Swartzmiller, Todd King, Katelynn Mullins and Jacob King; great-grandchildren, Gage, Kaiden, Morgan, Justin, Tierra, Sophia, Amaya, Vanessa, Cierra, Cyrus, Breigh, and Jacob; special friend and caretaker, Koko.
Friends received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday-August 28, 2008 at the Jarvis Funeral Home, Paden City, WV where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday-August 29, 2008 with Rev. Darryl Gooden officiating.
Interment in Paden Memorial Gardens, Paden City, WV.
Full military graveside services will be conducted by the American Legion Post 86, of Paden City, American Legion Post 78 of Sistersville, American Legion Post 28 of New Martinsville and the VFW Post 6327 of Sistersville.
