An Old Christian Gone
On Monday, at his residence in Temple, Williamson Wynne, the father of Ab and Ed and the uncle of Bob and ___ Wynne, departed this life, ripe in years and experience. He had passed the 85th milepost and had lived a consistent member of the Methodist church 63 years of the time. He was married over 50 years ago and came to Texas more than 40 years ago. He had been a citizen of Temple about 4 years, but long enough to form some warm friendships and leave the balm of Christian influence as a healing to those who are following after him. The troubles and grief if his friends were always a greater burthen to him than his own, as for them he was constantly seeking to make life cherry. He left two sons and three daughters together with his aged and devoted wife to mourn his loss, with these the entire community join in sympathy.

Resolutions of Regret
To the Worshipful Master Wardens and Brethren of Forest Lodge No. 13, A. F. & A. M.:
We, your committee appointed to draft suitable resolutions on the death of our deceased brother, Williamson Wynne, beg leave to report:
1st. That in the death of brother Wynne, which occurred at Temple, Texas, February 6, 1895, Forest Lodge has lost one of its oldest and most cherished members, Walker county one of its old land marks, Temple and the state of Texas a good citizen, and his family a shield and protector whose place can never be filled.
2nd. While bowing in humble submission to the Grand Master of the universe who doeth all things well, we regret and deplore the loss of so worthy a brother, and extend to his bereaved relatives our heartfelt sympathy in this their hour of bereavement.
3rd. That in manifestation of our regret at the loss of our brother, that the members of the lodge wear the usual badge of mourning 30 days, and a page in the minute book be set a part for recording these resolutions, and a copy be furnished the city papers of Huntsville and Temple for publication.
