The Hon. Peter B. Scuderi, 80, of Concord Township, died at Riddle Memorial Hospital in Middletown. Judge Scuderi was born and raised in South Philadelphia and attended South Philadelphia High School before attending Temple University and graduating from Duke Law School in 1952. He was appointed to the federal bench in 1974 and served the Eastern District of Pennsylvania for more than thirty years. He was the hearing examiner for the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board from 1963 to 1971. He was a longtime member of the Bala Golf Club in Philadelphia. He was a well-know historian and Civil War expert. He was predeceased by his wife Dr. Loretta Esposito Scuderi and his parents Joseph and Rose Barretta Scuderi. He is survived by two sons, Joseph and Peter, three sisters, Jan Duffy, Diane Lordi and Rosealie Cooper and five grandchildren.
