Wife of Giles William Duncan, a farmer who served in the Civil War. She was the daughter of Isaiah and Nancy (Murdock) Duncan and was a distant cousin of her husband. A census record shows her name as Angeline, though she is also referred to in other documents as Mary Ann or Ann, which she was commonly called. In the 1910 census, she is listed living with her son Ben and family on their property in Harrison Twp, Clay County, Indiana which she inherited from her husband, Giles and divided into separate parcels for each of her three sons, Pat, Ben and Frank.
