Louise grew up in New Britain and was a graduate of New Britain High School and the Teacher's College of Connecticut. She was a lifetime member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday School and was a member of the W.E.L.C.A. She lived in Kensington for 45 years. Louise taught school for 40 years in the New Britain and Berlin school systems.
She is survived by a daughter, Lynn Hahn and son-in-law John, as well as two grandchildren, Christopher and Jaclyn Hahn of Massachusetts. She also leaves a brother, William Bauer of Avon.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 14 at 2 p.m. at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 South Main Street, New Britain.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Fairview Cemetery.
