"Hallie J. Closser, who was killed in action in France, July 29, was a son of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Closser, of Waynesburg, and was well known throughout the county. He enlisted in Company K during the trouble with Mexico and served with the company on the border in 1916. He was a member of the Waynesburg lodge of Eagles. He followed farming as an occupation. Beside his parents, two brothers, Daniel Closser, of Waynesburg R. D., and James Closser, of East Waynesburg, survive."
