MRS. BISHOP

STOCKBRIDGE, Ga. — Mrs. Janice Pitts Bishop, 68, of Stockbridge, formerly of Valley, died Sunday, Dec. 11, 2005 at Henry General Hospital in Stockbridge.

Funeral services are scheduled Wednesday, Dec. 14 at 2 p.m. at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley with Dr. Randy Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Langdale Cemetery.

Mrs. Bishop is survived by her husband, Joe Bishop; one sister, Joyce Merna of Lanett; one brother, James (Jimmy) Pitts of Lanett; and several nieces and nephews.

Born Jan. 4, 1937 in Chambers County, Mrs. Bishop was the daughter of the late Ozell Cox Pitts and Leon Pitts. She had owned several beauty shops and a clothing store. Mrs. Bishop was a member of First Baptist Church of Valley and attended Jonesboro Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, Dec. 13 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.
