On Wednesday Evening, November 12, 2008, God called Ruth Elizabeth Starke Kelly home. She was 84 years old. The daughter of Henry Herman Starke and Anna Elizabeth Kaestner. A child during The Great Depression, she lived a modest, but full life.
A Bell Award recipient, she was an active member of her community:
Volunteer for the former Methodist Hospital (Norton's), Brooklawn Child & Family Services, Beechmont Neighborhood Association, and Bethel-St. Paul United Church of Christ; where she was a member and devoted servant of our Lord.
Ruth was a graduate of Shawnee High School. Worked as a map maker with the Army Topographic Command. She married her husband, John Arthur Kelly, Jr. on August 10, 1946. She always loved children and had 4 of her own. Grandmother of 11 and Great-Grandmother of 12. She has touch the lives of countless people.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents an all her siblings:
