I have just read an article on Capt. Appleby and his death is listed as Feb. 5, 1903. I am not sure which is correct.

The correct death date on this Civil War Veteran is Feb. 3rd 1905.He was killed by a west-bound express flyer on that dark early cold day near the PRR station in Mt. Union,Pa. *The newspaper story out of Pgh. on his death date is incorrect.* I've been researching Daniel & Co.I, 149th Reg't for 15 years.
