Services for Hachig Basmajian, 72. native of Armenia, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Phillips Funeral home and at 2 p.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church with the Rev. Norman Godfrey officiating. Burial will be made in Pine Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Basmajian passed away at midnight Sunday at the home of his cousin, Kano Basmajian, 278 E. Orvis St. Mr. Basmajian was born May 10, 1875 in Seyas, Armenia, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Torras Basmajian. He came to the United States in 1909, settling in Milford, Mass. In 1926 he came to Massena and secured employment at the Aluminum plant here where he worked for a number of years.
He married Tisking Chibashien in Armenia. She passed away a number of years ago.
Surviving are two brothers, Meran of Toronto and Samuel of Niagara Falls.
