Mrs. Lydia Sorrell Amo

Funeral services for Mrs. Lydia Sorrell Amo will be held Friday morning at 10 o'clock at Phillips Memorial Home. The Rev. George Easter, rector of St. John's Episcopal Church, will officiate and burial will be made in Pine Grove Cemetery.
Visiting hours at the Phillips Memorial Home will be Thursday afternoon and evening.
Mrs. Amo, a long-time resident, of Massena, died Monday, Mar. 11,1974 at
Kenmore, where she has been residing with her son, Robert Amo, and family.
She was born Mar. 28, 1892 in Chesterville, Ont., and came to Massena with her family when a young girl. She resided in Massena most of her life until moving to Kenmore five years ago where she resided with her son and daughter-in-law and their family, Robert and Dorothy Kates Amo.
While in Massena Mrs. Amo was active in the Royal Neighbors of America for over 50 years, a member of the Auxiliary of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge, the women's Relief Corps.
Surviving is one son, Robert Amo, a member of the faculty of BOCES at Kenmore; three grandchildren, Roberta, teaching at Marion High School; Charles, a member of the Seneca Public School system and Barbara, employed at the Liberty National Bank near Buffalo.
