Elizabeth BEATTIE late spouse to the late pious and much respected Adam MURRAY who lived and died at Castleton She departed this life at Lanshaburn 14 September 1819 aged 78 years likewise Janet MURRAY daughter to John MURRAY shepherd in Lanshaburn who died 30 April 1812 aged 4 years and George MURRAY his son who died 30 June 1823 aged 10 months. Esther MURRAY his daugter born at Lanshaburn 12 August 1826 died 30 August 1836 also the said John MURRAY who died at Langshawburn 1 April 1849 aged 70 years also Esther COWAN his relict who died at Langshawburn 4 August 1856 aged 75 years
Gravesite Details
The stone also has inscriptions on the reverse which were too overgrown to photograph successfully on this visit. A transcription of the memorial to James Murray taken on a previous visit is recorded separately.
