He was born May 2, 1916 to Edward Thomas and Rebecca Wilson Arrington. He grew up in Salt Lake City and graduated from South High School. He married his sweetheart Edith Elizabeth Doyle on October 9, 1936. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Edith passed away on December 8, 1979. He married his loving wife, Eva Halford on September 27, 1980, for time in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Ed dedicated his life to taking care of Edith and Eva. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He and his wife, Eva served a two year temple mission in St. George, Utah. He was a veteran of World War II. He worked for Garret Freightlines for 37 years.
Ed is survived by his wife, Eva; sister, Beverly Dale; children, Ronald (Joyce) Arrington, Patricia (Richard) Bullock, Michael Arrington, and Rebecca Stone; step-children, Gene (Rita) Halford, Marlen (Judy) Halford, Steven (Pam) Halford, and Ernest (Karla) Halford; 25 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his first wife, parents and brother, Ted.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 13, 2008 at the Bountiful LDS Tabernacle, 51 South Main Street, where friends and family may visit from 11:00 a.m.-12:45 p.m. prior to services.
Interment-Lakeview Memorial Estates Cemetery.
