BRIDWELL, Elsie Sims, 100, died September 10, 1981 at the United Methodist Village in Lawrenceville. A former resident of Macedonia and Benton, Mrs. Bridwell was a retired occupational therapist. She was a member of the First Untied Methodist Church in Benton. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert H. and Louisa FISHER JOHNSON, and her first husband, Dr. J. M. Sims, who died in 1935. She later married the late Sam Bridwell. Survivors include a stepdaughter, Mrs. Lena BAKER, Harrisburg, one grandson, Charles Van VAIKENBURG, Springfield, one niece, Mrs. Pauline RICHARDSON, Carmi, and two nephews, John M. McAFOOS and H. M. AIKEN, both of Benton. Graveside services were held at Antioch Cemetery east of Macedonia under the direction of the Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home of Benton.
