Died, at 7:30 o'clock, Tuesday evening, April 15, 1902, at the family residence, 214 West Reynolds street, of a complication of diseases, Archibald F. Thayer, aged 53 years, 5 months and 24 days. Mr. Thayer was born in Chatham, and had lived in Springfield for a number of years.

Surviving him are his wife, Sophia Thayer; one son, Charles Thayer, both of this city; three brothers, Martin and W. P. Thayer, both of Springfield, and E. R. Thayer of Chatham; and three sisters, Mrs. J. B. Hudson, Mrs. Lee Hickox and Mrs. Jennie Burnett, all of this city.

The funeral of Archibald F. Thayer, who died Tuesday evening, was held privately yesterday afternoon at the rooms of Undertaker Charles T. Bisch. The interment was made privately in Oak Ridge cemetery.
