Beloved husband and father, Leon Cole Goodwin died on December 26, 2006. Mr. Goodwin was born on December 31, 1920 in Lagrange, GA and resided in Lillian, AL most of his life.

Mr. Goodwin was preceded in death by his parents, Willy Belle (Bennette) Goodwin and Eli Whiten Goodwin.

He leaves behind his wife, Edith Goodwin of Lillian, AL; and one son, Leon Goodwin, Jr., of Jacksonville, AL.

Major Goodwin retired from the United States Air Force in 1962. He was also a past president of the Pensacola Bowling Association.

A graveside service and burial will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, January 4, 2007 at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola for Mr. Leon Goodwin.

Memorials can be made to the Salvation Army.
