HE was a native of Transylvania County and son of the late James Oscar and Nora Huggins Summey. He retired from the Ecusta Corp., and he was a VETEARN of the U.S. NAVY, serving during the KOREAN CONFLICT. He was a member of the Morningside Baptist Church. He was proceeded in death by two brothers, J.B. and Franklin Summey.
Survivors includes his wife Betty Galloway Summey of Brevard: one son Mark O'Dell Summey of Brevard; three daughters Janice Bryson of Brevard, Doris barton of Pisgah Forest and Carol Owen of Lake Toxaway; three brothers William Summey of Maryland, Van and Leroy Summey both of Brevard and five grandchildren.
