CRESTVIEW, Fla. Gladys "Patty" Cadle, 84, passed away Monday, Nov. 28, 2005, at a local nursing home.
She was born April 30, 1921, to Charles and Letha McComb in Huntersville, and moved in 1979 to Crestview from Craigsville.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Alden Cadle; granddaughter, Sheila Cadle; sister, Lucy McQuain; and brothers, Harry Whiting and Leonard Edwards.
Gladys was a loving wife, mother and grandmother to those she leaves behind.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Elder Kenneth Cadle; sons, Keith and Christine Cadle of Crestview, Jerry and Edna Cadle of Springboro, Ohio, and David and Shirley Cadle of Crestview; grandchildren, Melinda Swihart of Wasilla, Ark., Anthony Cadle of Dayton, Ky., Melissa Ballard of Niceville, Fla., Philip Cadle of Hays, Kan., Jeremy Cadle of Crestview and Benjamin Cadle of Arlington, Va.; 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Eldridge McComb of Marlinton; and sisters, Elizabeth Cadle of Craigsville, Marie Tuttle of Mannington and Fleeta Benboe of Vancouver, Wash.
Visitation was 6 to 8 p.m. Nov. 30 at Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home.
Service was 2 p.m. Dec. 1 at Palm Chapel Primitive Baptist Church, Crestview, with Elder Edward Morgan, Elder Charles Ellis and Elder Michael Green officiating. Burial followed in Liveoak Palm Memorial Cemetery.
