Mary Louise Gallo, 80, wife of the late Dante L. Gallo, died peacefully at MidState Medical Center on Tuesday (October 28, 2008), with her devoted family by her side.


Born in Pratola Peligna, Italy on March 30, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Domenic and Antonia (DiNunno) Petrella. She came to America with her loving mother to meet her father in 1932. She was employed at W.T. Grant Co. for a number of years and more recently was employed with G. Fox & Co., retiring in 1993. She was a dedicated employee who received many gold and diamond stars for her exceptional customer service. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church.


She is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Richard and Donna Gallo and Ronald Gallo; three daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and Marc Gagne, with whom she made her home and was given unselfish love and care for the past three years, Joann and Michael Tiezzi of Meriden and Laurie Ann and Raymond Kipphut of Middletown; 14 grandchildren and a great granddaughter, all of whom were her pride and joy. They are Anthony Gallo and his fiancee, Nikki Carlino, Frank Gallo and his wife Catherine, Sarah (Gagne) Gaj and her husband Michael, Jeffrey and Eric Gagne, Ginamarie and Anthony Kipphut, Tarah, Taylor and Nicole Tiezzi, Ashley and Nicholas Gallo, Brian Girard and his wife Alyssa, Donald Girard; and great granddaughter Alexandra Gaj. She is also survived by three loving brothers, Geno, Bob and John Petrella, all of Meriden; and a very special niece Michelle (Petrella) Danielson and her husband David and great niece, Lauren all of Florida.


Mrs. Gallo was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend and she will be deeply missed by all.


The Funeral will be held on Friday, October 31 at 9:15 a.m. from the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main Street, Meriden and at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church for a Mass of Christian Burial.
Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Funeral Home TODAY from 4-8 p.m.
