Funeral services for Houston Briggs, 21, of Willis will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2008, at 10 a.m. in Cashner Colonial Chapel with Dr. Richard Rodgers officiating. Interment will follow in Garden Park Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, September 26, 2008, from 5 to 9 p.m. at Cashner Funeral Home.

He was a 2006 graduate of New Waverly High School.
He is survived by his mother, Kathy Williams and stepfather, Mike Williams; brother, Austin Briggs; step-sister, Lara-Ashley Williams; step-brother, Tyson Williams; grandparents, June Peel of Willis, Dolan Briggs of Lexington, North Carolina and Hilda Briggs of Lexington, North Carolina; great-grandmother, Katherine McDonald of Willis.
