Edna Scott Blakeman, 87, died Wednesday, October 25, 1995 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Danville, Ky. A resident of Richmond Road, Lancaster, Ky., she was born December 21, 1907, in Jessamine Co., Ky. and was a daughter of Harvey A and Elva Kemp Dean. She was a homemaker and a former salesclerk for Hobbs Department Store and Heathmans Grocery in Nicholasville for several years. She was a member of Mt Zion Methodist Church in Jessamine Co., Ky. and the widow of Bronson Blakeman. Survivors include a daughter Nora Gay of Lancaster, Ky.; five granddaughters, Diana Adams and Cindy Casey, both of Lexington, Ky., Linda Lanham, Suzanne Young and Becky Sevier all of Lancaster, Ky.; six great grandchildren, Sara Adams, Stephanie Lanham, Brooks Casey, Ross Casey, Jason Sevier and Tami Gay; a brother, James Harvey Dean of Lexington, Ky.; two sisters Geneva Harvey of Nicholasville, Ky., and Mattie Ann Roberts of Lake Worth, Fla. Graveside services were held Friday, October 27, 1995 at Maple Grove Cemetery in Nicholasville officiated by Chaplain Steve Bredson. Burial was in the Maple Grove Cemetery.
