ROCHESTER Florence Beehler, 88, died Sunday, April 22, 2001 at 1:29 a. m. at Hickory Creek at Rochester Nursing Home where she had been a patient for the past three months. She had been in failing health for three months.
Florence was born on Oct. 23, 1912 in Rochester to Charles and Ruby Overmyer. They later preceded her in death.
She had lived most of her life in the Richland Center and Rochester communities of Fulton County.
On Aug. 17, 1940, Florence married Lloyd L. Beehler in Koontz Lake. He preceded her in death on Feb. 19, 1993.
A homemaker, she had also worked in the cafeteria of the former Richland Center School. She was a lifetime member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Rochester.
Survivors include two daughters, Beverly Trantum of Wabash and Jane Scoville of Darien, IL; four grandchildren, Lori Corwin of Kokomo, Brent Trant um of Miami, FL and Lisa and Ryan Scoville of Chicago; a great granddaughter, Rachel Corwin of Kokomo; a great grandson, Brandon Corwin of Kokomo; a sister, Harriett and Hersh Roberts of Anaheim, CA; a brother, James and Marie Overmyer of Punta Gorda, FL; and a sister in law, Katherine Overmyer of Rochester.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert C. Overmyer; and a sister, Henrietta Garvey.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 25, 2001 from 4 7 p.m. and one hour prior to services at the Foster & Good Funeral Home in Rochester.
Services will be Thursday, April 26, 2001 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Ed Clark will officiate.
Burial will be at Richland Center IOOF Cemetery, northwest of Rochester.
Memorial gifts may be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church or the Fulton County Cancer Fund.
