Wanda Lea Craig Abbott died at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 21, 2006, at University Medical Hospital in Jackson, Miss. She was 65 and a resident of Ackerman, Miss. She was born Nov. 27, 1940, in Corbin. Visitation was at Shady Bower Pentecostal Church Friday until funeral services Saturday, conducted by the Rev. Calvin Robinson and Rev. Phil Calvin. Pallbearers were Dale and Craig Peeples, Scott and Keith Abbott, Robert Robertson and Dusty Newman. She was buried in Vickers Cemetery. Renaissance Services were in charge of arrangements. She is survived by three daughters, Cathy Kimball of Jena, Jo Ann Peeples of Ackerman, Miss., and Katrina Robertson of Walker; three sons, Randy, Terry and Rusty Abbott, all of Ackerman, Miss.; sister, Earline Payne of Walker; four brothers, Barney, Robert and Elzia Craig, all of Walker, and Orville Craig of Starksville, Miss.; and 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Abbott; parents, Leonard and Clara Craig; sister, Bertha Landry; and two brothers, H.B. and W.E. Craig.
