WILBER R ALBRIGHT

CUMBERLAND - Wilber Ray Albright, 78, of Lions Manor Nursing Home, formerly of Baltimore Avenue and the Kensington Algonquin Apartments, died Friday, Nov. 20, 1998, at Sacred Heart Hospital.

Born June 17, 1920, in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Porter and Virgie (Hewitt) Albright. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Frederick H. Albright.

Mr. Albright was retired from the Kelly-Springfield Tire Company, Cumberland. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and was a member of the Cumberland American Legion.

Surviving are one sister, Clara Comparetto, Tracys Landing; four nieces, Ellen Albright, Cumberland, Nancy Watson, Prince Frederick, Carol Stallings, Tracys Landing, and Alice Rosley, Eckhart; one nephew, Frederick W. Albright, Eckhart; and one sister-in-law, Rella Albright, Cumberland.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Stephen Durr officiating.

Interment will be in the Maryland State Veterans Cemetery at Rocky Gap. Graveside military honors will be accorded by the Combined Veterans Honor Guard.
