Minnie Ola (Wingate) Bankston, age 81, of Temple, Texas and formerly of Palestine, Texas died August 31, 1995 at Scott and White Hospital in Temple after a lengthy illness. Burial was at Roselawn Park Cemetery in Palestine. She was born in Montalba community on April 17, 1914, to Nathan and Bessie Irene (Williams) Wingate. She married Perry Lee Bankston June 27, 1938. Mrs. Bankston had also lived in Baytown, Texas. She was a member of First Christian Church. She was survived by her husband, Lee Bankston of Temple; daughter, JoLynn Martine of Highlands; grandsons, John Lee Martine of Austin, and Christopher Martine of Highlands; and special friend, Katja Brendler of Germany. Pallbearers were John Lautner, Paul Martine, John Martine, John Lee Martine, and Christopher Martine.
