Her husband, Stephen Z. Karcasinas, died in 1967. She left her loving and devoted son, Christos Karcasinas of Worcester; two daughters, Katherine Sigalas of Athens, Greece, and Athena Burke of Atlanta, Georgia; a sister, Anna Kiritsy of Worcester; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Peter and Paul Souliotis, predeceased her. She was born in Delvino, North Epiros, daughter of Thomas and Athena (Economou) Souliotis, and moved to the United States in 1920. She lived in Worcester before moving to Southbridge in 1943.
Along with her husband, she owned and operated Favreau's Restaurant and Reliable Laundry Service. Mrs. Karcasinas volunteered at Tri Valley Elder Services, delivering Meals on Wheels for 15 years. She was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church and its Ladies Philoptochos Society. She was an avid gardener, and enjoyed needlework.
The funeral was held Friday, Aug. 24, from Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., with a service in St. George Greek Orthodox Church, North Street. Burial was in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
