Abel I. Arnold, one of the oldest and best known residents of South Warren, passed away at his home in that place on Tuesday, April 27, 1920 at the age of 82 years. He had lived alone for several years and was found by his son, Willis Arnold, who had come to see him, on this particular morning, dead in his bed, as though death had come when he was sleeping peacefully.

The deceased was born on the adjoining farm, and lived his entire life on the farm where he died. Mr. Arnold is survived by one son, Willis Arnold, of Cadis; one daughter, Mrs. Nellie E. Quick, of Ithaca, N.Y., and one brother, C. T. Arnold, of Windham, Pa.

He was a member of the South Warren, M. E. Church, and the funeral was held at his late home on Friday, April 30th., Rev. Joseph Coleman of LeRaysville, officiating, and the burial was made in the South Warren cemetery.
