Visiting at Wilbert Funeral Home, Plaquemine, on Monday, Oct. 20, was from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting resumes at the funeral home on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until service at 1 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Frank Manguno. Interment in Grace Memorial Park. Survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Adrina and Dan Moses, Barbara Cavalier, and Joy and Edward Morales; three stepdaughters, Sadie Verret, Loretta Medlene, and Beatrice Allen and husband Milton; two stepsons, Lynn Curry and wife Lila, and Murray Curry; two brothers, Vorice Allen and wife Angelina, and James Allen; 20 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Edna Allen; husband, Leander Joseph Curry; sister, Ester Smith; six brothers, David Sr., Guy Sr., Lester, Ernest, Joe and Oscar Allen; stepdaughter, Edith Curry; grandson, Leander "Leelee" Johnson; two stepgrandchildren, Yvonne Bonin and Donald Simoneaux; and a great-grandchild, Tommy Allen Mosley.
