Wilson W. Robb
Wilson W. Robb, one of Hartslog Valley's oldest residents, died at his home in the valley Thursday evening, 27 September, after an illness of only a few days. Mr. Robb suffered a stroke Tuesday morning from which he never recovered.
He was born 27 March 1844 in Hartslog Valley, hence at the time of his death was aged 84 years and 6 months.
He served in the union army during the Civil War and was a member of the G.A.R. He was also a faithful member of the Presbyterian Church of Alexandria.
He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Allen C. McNitt. His wife preceded him to the grave some years ago.
The funeral service will be held from his late home Monday afternoon, 1 October at 2 o'clock, conducted by Reverend W.E. Stewart of the Presbyterian Church. Funeral directed by Harry Brown & Son.
