Baker, Margie Faye
Funeral services for Margie Faye Baker, 87, of Ector will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2008 at the Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel.
Officiating will be Rev. Rodney Sprayberry, assisted by Rev. Claude Robbins and Mr. Ricky Robbins. A committal service will follow at Carson Cemetery in Ector.
Mrs. Baker passed away Saturday, Oct. 18, 2008 at Mullican Care Center of Savoy. She was cherished by her family, many friends and neighbors.
Margie Baker was born June 1, 1921 in Monkstown to parents Elzie Taylor and Gussie Means Taylor. Mrs. Baker was married on Sept. 25, 1937 to Clarence Vernon Baker in Whitewright.
Mrs. Baker worked at many things, a dedicated homemaker, a seamstress with Bonham Manufacturing and a spinner with the Bonham Cotton Mill. She was preceded in death by brothers, Floyd Taylor and Sam Taylor also sisters, Mae Robbins and Pauline Haden.
Survivors are daughters, Wanda Cabell and husband Dean of Talco, Doretha Gay and husband Jerry of Bonham., and Diann Lodwick and husband John of Nacogdoches; grandchildren, Greg Brewer and wife Tanna of Simpsonville, Kim Howard and husband Rick of Ector, Jason Gay and wife Denise of Wylie, and Madellyn Gambrel and husband Russ of Richmond, Va.; great-grandchildren, Shelby Brewer, Carson Howard, Emery Howard and Kelly Jack Gambrel; and numerous nieces and nephews,
The family will receive friends at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home from 6 -8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20, 2008.
