HAVERHILL — Eileen M. (Spence) Cassettari, 66, of Haverhill, died Saturday, Oct. 18, 2008 at the Oxford Nursing Home in Haverhill after a lengthy illness.

Born in Lawrence, she was the daughter of the late, Raymond and Olive (Foucher) Spence. She attended St. Mary's Grammar School and was a Graduate of St. Mary's High School, Class of 1960.

Mrs. Cassettari was employed as a cashier at Building 19 in Haverhill, primarily a bookkeeper for most of her career; she worked for Camp America in Kingston, N.H., and Jafferian Volvo-Toyota, in Haverhill.

A woman of many talents, she enjoyed working with her hands, knitting and crocheting, and especially playing the piano.

The widow of the late, Joseph L. Cassettari, who died in 1983, she leaves a daughter and son-in-law, Lynne M. Brown and her husband Joseph of Haverhill; sons, Stephen P. Cassettari of Manchester, N..H and James A. Cassettari of Gardner; a sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Arthur Poublon of Litchfield, N.H.; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Rae Poublon.

ARRANGEMENTS: A memorial funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 22, at 10 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Church, Lincoln Ave., Haverhill. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery. Her family will receive visitors at their residence located at 70 Audubon Road, Haverhill, Wednesday, from 3 to 6 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Kevin B.
