JAMES M. RITTMAN A long time resident of San Leandro, passed away July 26, 2004 at the age of 89. Dearly beloved husband of 22 years of Verna Rittman of San Leandro. Loving father of James K. Rittman of Florida and step father of Harold, Diane, Deibert, Sharon, Alaina, & Dennis. Devoted grandfather of many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dear brother of Rose Vegar. James was a retired policeman for the city of Oakland where he worked for 25 years. He was a member of the Retired Policeman's Association, SIRS, and Camaraderie Club. Friends are invited to attend the Vigil Service Thursday July 29th beginning at 7:00 PM at the Santos-Robinson Mortuary, 160 Estudillo Ave., San Leandro. A funeral procession will leave the mortuary Friday July 30th at 10:00 AM for the Funeral Liturgy beginning at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church 14112 Azores Pl. near Bermuda Ave San Leandro. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery in San Pablo. The family prefers donations to the American Diabetes Association Memorial and Honor Program, P.O. Box 1132, Fairfax, VA 22038-1132.
