Married Karl H Manwaring, also from Vernal, in 1947.
Together they had eight children, managed the Lincoln Motel and Harmony Boarding House. They divorced after 23 years of marriage.
She married Dale Webb Black in 1975 and spent 31 years together until his death in August of 2006.
She is also preceded in death by a brother, John R. Davis; sister, Marguerite Cockayne; twin sons (stillborn), Ronald and Robert; a son and daughter-in-law, Howard K. and Laura J. Manwaring and step-son, Steven Black.
Carma earned a Bachelors in Home Economics from the U of U, and was one term short of her Masters in Psychology. She taught Home Ec. at South High School, was PTA President, home taught unwed High School mothers and was Director of Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) for Utah Co.
She enjoyed piano, dancing, entertaining, reading and camping. Had many lifetime friends in her club groups.
She was an active member of the LDS Church and served in many callings.
Carma is survived by her children, Christina (John W.) Huish, Patricia (Cary G.) Wood, Deanne (Jeffrey D.) Manwaring-Mohamed, Sandra Manwaring McCarthy and Paul C. Manwaring; a sister, Thelma (Florin R.) Nielsen; sister-in-law, Ellen T. Davis; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; step-children, David (Dawne) Black, Marianne (Dale) Billeter, Richard (Nancy) Black.
