Obituary
John Leslie Stewart was born in Cherokee on April 7, 1917, and died at his home March 14, 1920, aged 3 years, 1 month and 7 days. He was the second son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Stewart. He leaves a father, mother, grandfather and grandmother and a little brother to mourn his departure. His short life in this world was just long enough to entwine his affections in the hearts of the dear ones in this now desolate home. But they sorrow not as they who have no hope, for the Master said, "Suffer little children to come unto me and forbid them not for of such is the kingdom of heaven." David said when his little child died, "Why need we weep for him, we cannot call him back, but we can go to him." He is now in a loving Savior's care and protection, sheltered from the storms of life, to be transplanted in the blooming fields of Paradise. His funeral was held at the home on Tuesday at 2 o'clock conducted by Geo. W. Brown and his little body was laid to rest in the Cherokee cemetery.

We wish to thank our friends and neighbors for their kindness and assistance during the sickness and death of our darling little boy and many thanks for the beautiful floral offerings, and also Bro. Brown. We can't praise him enough, for this makes the sixth death in the last two years he has conducted the funeral.
