Son of Ellery Ellsworth Ohnmeiss and Susan S. Florey. A graduate of Girard College, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania He is also known as Junior or Pete. He and his wife Mavis Renken Ohnmeiss resided in Lampasas, Texas. He was a Lampasas councilman and mayor pro-tem. He met Mavis Renken at North Camp Hood after he mustered out of the U.S. Army. They were married on Wednesday, February 17, 1946. Soon after their marriage, they lived in her hometown of Hamilton, Texas. In 1954 he went to work with Weiser Mill, Inc. in Lampasas. Ellery and Mavis had 4 children from their marriage: Susan Ann Ohnmeiss, Mary E. Ohnmeiss, John T. Ohnmeiss and Donna D. Ohnmeiss. He died at Rollins Brook Community Hospital in Lampasas, Texas at the age of 77 years, 7 months, 5 days. His wife and three children (Mary E., John T. and Donna D.) survived him.
